Stripes

The ten packagings in the series are designed to be suitable as gift packagings and to provide a pleasing unboxing experience. Each box has a stripe pattern printed on it, which is repeated on the sleeve that closes the box. The cardboard parts of the box, as well as the sleeve and a brochure, are made of recycled cardboard. A bagasse paper tray is used to protect and present the contents. The complete packagings in this series can be disposed of in paper recycling bins.

Minus Water Filter

Minus

Minus is a portable tap water filter designed to be reusable and zero waste. Minus uses pressure from the tap to push water through a filter of activated coconut charcoal, removing chemicals, bacteria and odour. The body is made of stainless steel with a rubber coating for a better grip when wet. A natural indigo colourant inside the filter washes out gradually with use, showing clearly when a replacement is needed. The used filter can be posted back, then cleaned, recharged and reused, which avoids the waste left by disposable filters.

ArtVinegar Vinegar Bottle

ArtVinegar

ArtVinegar is a do-it-yourself kit for turning imperfect fruit into fruit vinegar at home. The kit contains a glass bottle, a choice of vinegar flavors and a printed manual. Shoppers can select unappealing or overripe fruit at supermarkets, produce markets or small farmers markets. The bottle is made of recycled brown glass through a bubbling process, and the bubble pattern recalls the bubbles of vinegar fermentation. The empty bottle can be returned to the sales outlet for recycling. Food waste is reduced and sustainability is promoted.

Design Drinking

Design Drinking is a set of five reusable glass straws made as an alternative to single-use plastic straws. The straws measure 200 by 7 millimetres and are made of high quality Schott glass, produced by hand in a traditional glassworks in Munich. The set is packed in ecological grass cardboard with a fitted inlay and a cleaning brush of cotton fibres. Each straw can be washed and reused up to 1042 times in a dishwasher.
