Fragrance Lamp

Aromatherapy and design have met to create the product Fragrance Lamp, realized in 2019. The experiment and development process was based on creating a new material that emits the natural essence of lavender flower. Therefore, here is a lighting object that, in addition to its functionality, will bring those who give it a chance, closer to nature. Lavender, its unique texture and fragrance, are found in the Fragrance Lamp which is part of the sustainable design products.

The motives on the board are created by using different materials and textures to stimulate development of sensors. They have the ability to find and correct errors, offer experiences in an easy and fun way. Their creation increased awareness of pollution and healthy environment amongst kids and their creators.

No Footprint Wood House

The No Footprint Wood House is located along the southern Pacific coast of Costa Rica. Its bioclimatic design integrates with the surrounding lush tropical forests and natural habitat. The project forms part of the multi-award winning No Footprint House series. Climate-responsive building variations are based on passive design strategies. Industrial building techniques and prefabricated components are combined with locally harvested and regenerative construction materials. The project promotes integral sustainability in terms of its social, economic, environmental and spatial performance.

This eco-friendly packaging combines practicality and creativity, ensuring product safety during transport while giving packaging new life through innovative design. Made from 100% biodegradable materials, it addresses the pain points of traditional packaging in handling and usage, offering a more efficient production process and a more convenient user experience. The design also supports reuse, reducing waste and providing DIY fun for families, making sustainability a part of everyday life.

Box Factory

This Zero Energy, low carbon project has operational data that confirms its actual performance. It is an all electric building that relies on onsite solar to meet its energy needs, with heat pumps providing heating and cooling. Careful siting and form work as hard as the systems, with the building oriented to local wind patterns and sun angles. Box Factory integrates climate resilience, innovation, and community impact through thoughtful design. During the 2022 Electra Fire, which burned 4,500 acres in Amador County, the project proved itself resilient and climate ready.

Floating House

The Floating House is located in the central valley of Costa Rica. The project is based on passive design strategies such as site specific positioning and the use of natural resources. Industrial building techniques are combined with locally harvested and regenerative construction materials. Ample roof overhangs protect the house from rainwater and solar impact. The interior rooms merge with their adjacent exterior spaces, creating a unified and harmonic relationship among nature and the built environment. Terraced gardens and balconies provide spectacular views of the surrounding landscape.
