The Loop

Located inside Devon House and spanning 4,000 sq ft, the project comprises of three main areas: an entry lobby at Devon House which merges into secondly, an experiential corridor and finally the main open display courtyard with recycling facilities. The design uses a limited palette of materials, such as recycled timber veneer, recycled material terrazzo flooring, each of which was carefully selected to tell a story and provide a continuous theme for the visitors.

Brewhouse

Hospitality design is a highly challenging area where the interiors need to stay fresh and appealing with the future trends in design. Pallet is a micro brewery that was designed with the thought of using sustainable materials in their raw state to achieve contemporary designs. Unconventional use of recycled wooden pallets for the interior decor is the highlight of this restaurant. It portrays the design philosophy of repetition of a module to generate patterns and textures. Although materials used are in raw state it gives international look and attracts clientele across the world.

UrbnEarth Planter

SOLVE design studio presents its capsule collection Omdanne which includes three pieces of clothing that can transform into over 10 styles each, from jumpsuits and dresses, to trousers and jackets. Moreover, all three pieces are 100% biodegradable if buried in the soil. Looking to discourage excessive consumption, the collection makes use of natural, renewable resources, product life-cycle tractability and powerful magnets to create a sustainable design of multi-functional and biodegradable clothing.

Blue Seed

The unique point of this bag is the exactly same bag does not exist. The blue plastic sheet has been used to protect or temporary repair the roofs of the damaged houses, and put on the ground to temporary store the furniture, which made scratches, a whole, since it’s been damaged. Due to the said reason, each bag has each expressions, or it can be said, each bag has its own character. Regarding the design itself, simple and standard tote bag design has been applied, so that it could be used, regardless of the gender, by many people for a long time.

Natural Composite Pillar

The prototype is one of the largest 3D printed biological artifacts today, created using a novel sustainable manufacturing technology deploying exclusively natural materials: Cellulose, which is the most abundant biomaterial on earth, associated with plant matter, and Chitin, a biomolecule extracted from the exoskeleton of insects and arthropods. The physical and mechanical material properties are in the range of high-density synthetic foams and low-density timbers. The artifact is based on renewable sources, widely available in nearly every ecosystem and naturally biodegradable.
