Deep consideration on our actual needs was the starting point for the research that led to the definition of an extremely basic eco-friendly chair. As universal as traditional chairs, Less Chair is an anti-diva we may have to look for, but that is never pushy. In Less Chair the inclined converging lines of the legs create an easel that firmly supports the body of the chair seat made even more comfortable by its rounded shapes that are also functional.

The intelligent inbuilt energy monitoring systems wirelessly reports to a building management server providing crucial real time information to further minimise consumption and manage energy allocation.

Parabosol is basically a solar powered water treatment system, a portable water treatment unit which can be setup anywhere in remote areas. This system purifies water by using parabolic mirror which boils water at high temperature, not industrially but individually for the first time.

Using packaging that is biodegradable not only limits the drain on fossil resources but also allows biodegradable substances to enter the supply chain. The Verpackungszentrum Graz has successfully made a step in this direction by developing tubular nets using compostable Modal cellulose fibres from thinning of home forests. The nets first appeared on supermarket shelves at Rewe Austria in December 2012. 10 tonnes of plastic can be saved by Rewe alone, simply by changing the packaging for organic potatoes, onions and citrus fruit.

The design consists of structural plastic pieces and PET pots that are combined to form a tree-like shape. The system also has a built in water circulation system, and it harvests rainwater while feeding plants through drip irrigation. The project allows space-starved urban gardeners to grow a wide range of plants, and it’s a great option for organic growers.
